इस शिक्षा का मतलब यह है की जिनको परमेश्वर बचाता है वो स्वर्ग भी जाके रहेंगे. परमेश्वर उन्हें कभी नहीं छोड़ेगा नहीं वो परमेश्वर को छोड़ेंगे क्योंकि वो एक नई सृष्टि है और पवित्र आत्मा के महिमावान कार्य के कारण हमेशा यीशु मसीह के पीछे चलेंगे. जो लोग जाते (backslide करते ) दिखते हैं, वो कभी उद्धार पाए ही नहीं थे. वो ख़ाली मसीहियत में आये थे, मसीह में नहीं. इस शिक्षा या सिद्धांत को हम बाइबल की हर किताब में बहुतायात और स्पष्टता के साथ देख सकते हैं. उनमे से कुछ साक्षी आयतें (prooftexts) हम नीचे दे रहें हैं.
Ecc 3:14
I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before him.
14. मैं जानता हूं कि जो कुछ परमेश्वर करता है वह सदा स्थिर रहेगा; न तो उस में कुछ बढ़ाया जा सकता है और न कुछ घटाया जा सकता है; परमेश्वर ऐसा इसलिये करता है कि लोग उसका भय मानें।
1Cor 1:8B-9 8
who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
8. वह तुम्हें अन्त तक दृढ़ भी करेगा, कि तुम हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह के दिन में निर्दोष ठहरो।

Col 3:3-4
For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Phil 1:6
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

2Tim 4:18

1Pet 1:3-5

Jn 6:39-40
And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. 40For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
39. और मेरे भेजने वाले की इच्छा यह है कि जो कुछ उस ने मुझे दिया है, उस में से मैं कुछ न खोऊं परन्तु उसे अंतिम दिन फिर जिला उठाऊं।
40. क्योंकि मेरे पिता की इच्छा यह है, कि जो कोई पुत्र को देखे, और उस पर विश्वास करे, वह अनन्त जीवन पाए; और मैं उसे अंतिम दिन फिर जिला उठाऊंगा।
Jn 10:27-29
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.

Eph 1:13-14

Eph 4:30
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Heb 7:25
Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
